There was, after all ... a war fought in the Pacific against the Japanese ... a war fought against the Germans in the Atlantic ... a war fought in Northern Africa ... and invasions of Italy and France.
It wasn't the Russian-German War. It was the Second World War.
This isn't to take anything away from Russia's own battles and victories. But geographically it was a small part of the overall war.
I've seen that Pobediteli website before - the one thing I would say against it is - it makes it sound like Russian was achieving great victories the entire war. Russia had a tremendous number of casualties - those didn't happen in military victories or as a result of great military planning. Many of those early battles were real catastrophes for Russia.
Anyway, I know this is a sensitive topic and I think you know me well enough to know that I am not saying this to offend.
